    Bio:
ABSENTA was born in Cordoba's 2001 winter, when, Alkaudón vocalist from “Kolera” (a Symphonic Black/Death Metal band) and Agui, guitarist from “Ad Astra” (a Gothic Metal band) decided togheter with several members of this last band to create a new one.

Then, in 2002, it was thought in a keyboard to complete the band, thus, Blackangel (ex “Archangel in Fear”) joined to us, tourning compositions to a Melodic Black Metal, sometimes, even accompanied by a female voice.

After a not so much changing period and many gigs, such as Broken Head Fest On Tour (04), the first recording came. It was called THE THING AT THE DOORSTEP. Its good reviews made us to board in bigger gigs, such as Metal Lords Fest with 500 people.

However, after that live, several members left the band and is then, when Gargoris (from La Sombra de Eurídice”), drummer and Velfortr, bass from “Nightspirit” (a Symphonic Black Metal band) joined us to record in 2007 the new project. At the end of this recording another member left us so, on November, Fernando (ex “Voices of Pain”), is catched as the new guitarrist.

Despite of these troubles, on december 2007 the last record is finished and is called BAETICUM, which leaves the melodic side of the first Demo and provides lead role to the guitars and rawer sounds.

Called “Baeticum” in honor to the Mountain range where its lyrics are setting, which topic is the hypothetic stage where the revenge of Wildness strengths carry out the down of mankind.
